Marks Lumber Receives the Jefferson County 2020 Business of the Year Award

Sep 16, 2020

On Thursday, September 10th the Jefferson Local Development Corporation (JLDC) presented Marks Lumber with the 2020 Business of the Year award for Jefferson County. The award recognizes Marks Lumber for being committed to excellence, demonstrating staying power and dedication to the local community.

JLDC is a non-profit, business membership organization that seeks to promote the welfare of Jefferson County by supporting local businesses and community development. Marks Lumber has been a Business Partner to the organization since 2011 and is honored to play a part in the growth and prosperity of Jefferson County. Marks Lumber has been milling quality lumber for more than 75 years in Clancy, MT, supplying jobs and community support to Jefferson County.

In presenting the award, the JLDC also acknowledged the sustainment of business operations through the pandemic as a testament to the teamwork between business leadership and the workforce. Owner Steve Marks was quick to commend this teamwork and thank the dedicated workforce at Marks Lumber.

“If you always do what you feel is right, you never have to worry about the wrong,” Steve said in response to receiving the award. We are proud to work for a business that is recognized for its work in Jefferson County!
